Silent Editor is designed for local-first PDF editing. This page explains what data is processed, where, and why.
1) Document processing
- PDF files selected in the editor are processed locally in your browser for normal editing and export.
- We do not require PDF upload to our servers for core editor workflows.
- Exported files are generated on-device and saved by you.
2) External links and billing
- When you open billing/support links, you navigate to third-party hosted pages (for example Stripe).
- Those providers process their own metadata under their own policies.
- Document contents from your editing session are not sent as part of billing actions.
3) Local storage and retention
- Some non-document preferences may be stored locally in your browser (for example theme or beta account indicators).
- You can clear browser storage at any time from your browser settings.
- This policy may be updated as product functionality evolves.
4) Contact
- For privacy questions, use the feedback page and include Privacy Policy in your message subject.
- If legal contact details are required, publish company/legal entity details before commercial launch.
FAQ
- Do you sell my document data?
- No. Core document processing is local-only by design for normal editor workflows.
- Can this policy change?
- Yes. We may update policy wording as features or integrations change.
